Wind instruments

Wind instruments are a large group of instruments that we blow into to produce the tone.

It is divided into woodwind and brass instruments.

The woodwind instruments that you can learn with us include:

  • Flute

  • Clarinet

  • Saxophone

  • Bassoon

While the brass instruments that you can learn with us include:

  • Trumpet

  • Trombone

The age suitable for wind instruments is from 7/8 years onwards due to the strength needed to master them.

These instruments are present in various bands in different styles of music.
As we cooperate with the national minorities of the city of Zagreb, we have the opportunity to participate in the work of various folklore groups where people who play these instruments are extremely important.

Main  points to  learning these instruments are:

  • Breathing technique, tone setting (embouchure)

  • Honing the coordination of breath, finger motor skills and thought in practical improvisation

  • Enabling students to play in a group with other instruments

  • Curriculum adaptability to student preference

  • Emphasis on a positive and motivating learning environment
