Katarina Horvat Dobrić

KATARINA HORVAT DOBRIĆ graduated in the class of prof. Nevenka Preiss in Zagreb at the Pavle Markovac Music School, and received her master's degree in 2014 in the class of prof. Renate Penezić at the Music Academy in Zagreb. As the winner of the Erasmus scholarship, she also studied at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, in the class of prof. Mateja Zupana. She actively trained and performed at master classes in Croatia and abroad with renowned pedagogues and flutists such as Hansgeorg Schmeiser, Jan Ostry, Matej Zupan, Alenka Zupan, Federica Lotti, Aleš Kacjan,  Luisse Sello, Gaspara Hoyosa, Luděka Šabake, Pierre-Yves Artauda, Marina Novak, Renata Penezić, Emmanuel Pahud, Doina Rotaru, Marcello Gatti, Gareth McLearnon…

She has won several awards at national competitions in Croatia, first and second prizes at the Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Strumenti, Euritmia in Povoletto (2007, 2009), second prizes at the 4th Concorso Intenationale di Esecuzione Musicale ˝Giovani Musicisti˝ in Treviso (2012). .) and third prizes at the 11th International Davorin Jenko Competition in Belgrade (2014)

Since the beginning of his studies he has collaborated with numerous orchestras and ensembles (HRT Symphony Orchestra, Zagreb Philharmonic, Rijeka Philharmonic, Croatian Chamber Orchestra, Varaždin Chamber Orchestra, Zagreb City Comedy Orchestra, Zagreb Youth Orchestra, Zagreb Youth Orchestra, CAF Symphony Wind Orchestra, CAF). .

In 2010 she became a member of the Maribor International Orchestra.

Under the direction of maestro Mladen Tarbuk and accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music, he performs the Concerto for two flutes in D minor by Franz Doppler and the Concertino for flute  Op.107,  Cecile Chaminade accompanied by the CAF Symphony Wind Orchestra conducted by maestro Tomislav Facini. As a guest, she participated in the New Year's concert Valceri, polka and other spelled by the HRT Tamburitza Orchestra and maestro Siniša Leopold.

She is a permanent member of the Trio Aureus and the Il Suono Flute Quartet.

In addition to classical music, she shows great interest in jazz and popular music and had the opportunity to perform at the Jazz.hr festival as a member of the Jazz Ensemble of the Music Academy.

She is currently employed as a 2nd flute and piccolo at ZGK Komedija.
